We had lots of fun on our pyjama day raising money for our school.

The children have had lots of fun coming to nursery in their favourite pyjamas.
Chinese New Year in Nursery
The children have been learning about Chinese New Year and looking at images and clips of the parade in Liverpool. Some children also created Chinese numbers up to 5 using different coloured paints.
Creating mandalas
As part of our art topic we have been studying mandalas. These patterns are used in Hinduism and Buddhism and use concentric circles.
Mayan Dance
This term, we have been exploring a range of types of dance.
In this lesson, we created routines inspired by the elements. The children though about how their movements could replicate the weather or nature that influenced their dance.
Which materials are soluble?
This week, we investigated which materials are soluble.
Use a range of different materials, we observed what happened when they were added to water.
George 5A, ‘I liked seeing how the different materials reacted when added to the water especially the oil when it sat on top.’
Outdoor Fun in Nursery
The children enjoy playing and exploring in our woodland area in all weathers.
Learning about Chinese New Year
As part of our ongoing learning we have been finding out about Chinese New Year. Some of our children have had experience of Chinese New Year celebrations in Liverpool city centre. We enjoyed making rice and trying to eat it with chopsticks at our nursery celebration.
Mark Making in Nursery
The children have used mirrors to look at their faces and create self-portraits in pencil. Some children also painted portraits of one another using clear plastic. The children practised drawing circles for faces and eyes and added detail to their faces.
Exploring Shape in Nursery
In Maths this week the children have been exploring shapes and building with different blocks. They recognised how ‘flat’ shapes were easier to build with and created towers, houses, robots and shops.
Jesus welcomes Everyone!
We have been talking about how we are welcomed into school, our homes and our church. How we say good morning to each other, wear smiles on our faces and take care of one another. We talked about how we are part of Jesus’ family and how Jesus welcomes Everyone. We made banners decorated with our…
