Reading:
Please try and read with your child every night for at least 20 minutes. Really focus on asking questions about their book as this will help them with their reading comprehension.
Finally, if there are any questions or concerns please feel free to speak to any of us before or after the school day.

Home Learning:
We use Google Classroom as the main source of home school learning.
We find this works really well with our Chromebooks in school and allows children to pick up their tasks and work from their devices at home.

Preparing for our Writeaway
The children worked in groups to oblate ideas on what may have happened to one of our key characters. To finish our unit on Star of Fear, Star of Hope - the children will be retelling the story from the point of view of another character.
Music: Songs from World War 2
In our current music unit, we are looking at songs from World War 2. We have been listening to the famous song: White Cliffs of Dover and have been learning how to read different styles of notation.

Today, we completed our unit on drawing by adding some finishing touches to our self portraits inspired by the legendary Frida Kahlo.
