Bugs, bugs, bugs
The children have continued their bug hunting this week using the magnifying viewfinders. After an adult initiated bug hunting activity last week, these children were choosing to continue and extend their learning independently.
National Nursery Rhyme Week
Everyday is a nursery rhyme day in Nursery A but we are singing even more this week as it’s National Nursery Rhyme Week. Here we are having fun singing ‘Row, row, row your boat’ with a partner.
Shapes
Today we have looked at 2D shapes. The children identified the shapes and then went into provision to find them. We discussed not being able to pick up a 2D shape and that we would need to draw round these for them to be a true circle or triangle.
‘We Remember’ 11 November 2025
Today we remembered the brave soldiers who fought in the wars. The children watched a CBeebies animation that sees war as experienced by animals in a field. The children have also loved making their own poppies using playdoh and buttons and pastels.
