A busy morning in Reception.
It may be a rainy day but we are always busy in reception!
Diwali
This morning we have been learning about Diwali or the ‘Festival of Lights’ The children were very interested to hear how this is celebrated and we are going to be making our very own diva pots in class.
Patterns
This week we will be investigating patterns. We started off by reading the story ‘My Mum and Dad Make Me Laugh’ by Nick Sharratt. The children loved looking for the spots and stripes in the book. We then went to activities and explored further by making our own patterns.
Minibeasts

Fine Motor
In Reception we take every opportunity to practise our fine motor skills. This week we have been using Geo Boards and elastic bands.
Leaf man!
After listening to the story ‘Leaf Man’, we used our Autumn collection to create our very own Leaf Men! What brilliant creations!
