Christmas card designs are on the go in Reception! The children are using water colours to carefully create their design. 

This week the children are enjoying making handprint salt dough decorations to hang on their Christmas trees at home. We will be painting and decorating our decorations next week.

Year 1- Piet Mondrian Art

We have been looking at the artist Piet Mondrian in Year 1 this afternoon. We looked at the shapes and colours used and painted our own designs. 

The children explored painting using natural objects.

Year 1- Painting 

We have been very busy in Year 1 this afternoon. We have been developing different brushstrokes and learning the dip,dip,dab method when applying paint. We made different marks with the primary colours- circles,dots and large ‘c’ shapes. 

The children created their own design by drawing around 3D shapes and then they painted each section using primary colours.

Y2 enjoyed drawing their own shape picture and painting using primary colours.
