Year 6 were tasked with a challenge this morning - to crack the codes and defeat the Robotrons! We came to school today to find that we had been invaded and had to work quickly and efficiently to crack several codes and send the Robotrons back to their own dimension.

Year 1 Maths Escape Room

Year 1 Maths- More than, fewer than, the same

The children worked in pairs to roll the dice and count out the counters. They used the vocabulary more than, fewer than and the same.

Year 1 Science- Explore the tongue and taste

We have been tasting various foods in Year 1 this afternoon. We described the flavours and decided if we liked it or not. 
 

“I didn’t like the marmite. I liked everything else.”

The children listened to six contrasting pieces of music. Using paints, pastels, crayons and pencils the children made marks to represent the music.

The first School Council meeting of 2024-25 took place on Friday afternoon.

Look at the train we made in nursery this week using brilliant teamwork skills and language to create this collaborative masterpiece! Well done children!

Some of the children have been keen to find out about the different birds they might see in the nursery garden.  

Here are some of our nursery children enjoying snack together.  Snack time in nursery invites us to turn take, communicate, listen and sometimes try different foods.  We develop independence by choosing our own snack and by washing up our own plates and cups when we have finished.  

This week we have had lots of fun playing and learning with our friends. We have begun to make a music wall outdoors using pans, spoons and bells. Inside we are playing in our home corner - having tea parties and going shopping.
