It has been wonderful to watch friendships being created and developed in the first few weeks of nursery.  We are learning to get along, help one another and develop our sharing skills.  We are putting our faith into action, demonstrating how we love God and one another.

Nursery A children have been enjoying practising throwing, catching, balancing and ball hitting skills using playground equipment in the sunshine.

We noticed that many of our children were finding threading a little bit tricky to complete independently so we took it into key person groups this week and the children did brilliantly.

We enjoyed trying out our new school parachute in Nursery A today. It’s huge so there was plenty of space for everyone. We sang along and followed the instructions in the song ‘Wibble Wobble, Wibble wobble, jelly on a plate.” Click on the link below to sing along at home.

Nursery A enjoyed their first visit to our school library this afternoon.  We tried to guess the animals in the ‘Flip Flap Forest’ book and then we had some time to choose our own books.  

This week has been all about new experiences for our nursery children.  They have been discovering the nursery environment and all it has to offer, whilst making new friends.  

 The children in Nursery A have been playing together to create a bus, using crates, wheels and wood.  A tambourine made a perfect steering wheel.  Watch out for the fast drivers!

A massive welcome to all our nursery children who have been settling in this week.  They have amazed us with their independence, smiles and friendship.  We can’t wait to playful learning adventures together this year.

We had a lovely afternoon tea celebration for our end of year party yesterday.  The children enjoyed making their own hats in preparation.  We also had dancing and party games in the hall.  We are ready for Reception in September!
