This week we have been exploring clay making different shapes to create mini-beasts. This is helping us to improve our fine motor skills. 

The children have been working together in the mud kitchen making mud soup using our natural resources.

The children have had lots of fun playing and exploring outdoors. In music we have been learning about percussion instruments so the children wanted to hear the sounds the tractor tyre could make. They have also been using the trees to play hide and seek.  

This morning the children worked with Enrich Education to find the different animal markers around our school. We enjoyed making the various animal noises and talking about where we would find these animals in our environment.

The children in nursery have been learning about autumn and have collected lots of autumnal treasures. We have had fun outdoors looking for more signs of autumn, finding mini-beasts, dancing in the wind with our scarves and reading in the sunshine. 

In RE we have been thanking God for our wonderful world. This week we went for a walk around our school and talked about what we could see.

This week we have had lots of fun playing and learning with our friends. We have begun to make a music wall outdoors using pans, spoons and bells. Inside we are playing in our home corner - having tea parties and going shopping. 

This week we are looking at different colours and sorting colours into groups. At home we are talking about our favourite colours and drawing pictures to share with our friends. 

This week we have been looking closely at different coloured leaves and pine cones. We also found a beautiful caterpillar in our outdoor area. 

We have had a wonderful week getting to know each other and exploring the different areas in our nursery. We have been learning how to make the sign of the cross and practising the words to our prayers. Today we used paints and colour mixing to create handprints for our new display in…

The children in nursery have quickly settled and are all learning new routines. They are making new friends and we’re all getting to know one another. The children have enjoyed playing both indoors and outdoors and particularly liked learning about the different trees around us.
