Outdoor Fun in the Sun
The children in nursery enjoyed playing parachute games and relaxing in the hammock under the sunshine this week. They also searched for minibeasts and played imaginatively with one another.
Nursery Make Fruit Kebabs
This week the children prepared their own healthy snack and made fruit kebabs. They practised their chopping skills whilst talking about the different colours, textures, shape and taste of fruits.
Maths in Nursery
The children have been reading ‘Where is Bear?’ by Jonathan Bentley and learning about prepositional language. We used the story to practise moving different objects to different places - in, on, under, behind, beside and through.

Pancakes in Nursery
This week the children have made pancakes as we have been learning about Lent and how this is a special time to prepare for Easter.
PTA Pyjama Day in Nursery B
The children have had lots of fun coming to nursery in their favourite pyjamas.
Chinese New Year in Nursery
The children have been learning about Chinese New Year and looking at images and clips of the parade in Liverpool. Some children also created Chinese numbers up to 5 using different coloured paints.
Outdoor Fun in Nursery
The children enjoy playing and exploring in our woodland area in all weathers.
Mark Making in Nursery
The children have used mirrors to look at their faces and create self-portraits in pencil. Some children also painted portraits of one another using clear plastic. The children practised drawing circles for faces and eyes and added detail to their faces.
Exploring Shape in Nursery
In Maths this week the children have been exploring shapes and building with different blocks. They recognised how ‘flat’ shapes were easier to build with and created towers, houses, robots and shops.
Year 6 Sports Hall Athletics
Well done to the Year 6 children who took part in the South Sefton Sportshall Athletics event this week. They demonstrated excellent team work and gave 100% in all the track and field events.
Observational Drawings in Nursery
The topic in art this week was observational drawings with coloured pencils. This helped the children develop their mark making skills whilst concentrating on colour, shape and size. They drew some beautiful, bright sunflowers on big paper.
