Year 4 Art: Georgia O’Keefe
Year 4 completed their art topic of painting today by producing one of their own abstract pieces focusing on flowers. The children used a range of materials to help create their desired effects; sketching pencils, water colours and acrylic paints.

Year 2 Art
The children created a printed leaf surface for use in the next lesson. They then used a range of fruit and vegetables to make a symmetrical design from prints.
Textiles and Collage
We have been focusing on linear drawings and collage.
After drawing a section of tree bark and parts of a tree, we used a range of strip cuts to create a collage.
We thought carefully about the choice of colours and placement of each part of the collage.
Year 4 Art: Georgia O’Keefe
Our current topic in Art is painting. We have looked at he work of different artists, including Georgia O’Keefe whose work was focused heavily on flowers. We were inspired by her work and have been working on re creating paintings of flowers in her style.
Year 2 Art: Printmaking
The children made prints using a natural object. They experimented to create a repeating pattern.
Hammers and Nails
Using our fine motor skills we are creating pictures today using Tap Tap Art. We are very careful not to bang our fingers and are enjoying copying the pictures and creating our own!
Printmaking
Today we have been using foam printing blocks to create prints.
We used ink rollers to apply red first to our blocks and then after letting it dry added green to our Christmas style prints.
