Fabulous Fruit Salads
This week we have been talking about how to keep ourselves healthy. We discussed ways of exercising and healthy foods to eat. We then chopped up fruit to make a spectacular fruit salad. The children loved doing this but found the pineapple quite tricky to cut up.

Magical Mess!
To some this might look like a messy busy classroom. To us it is a creative, collaborative creation that the children have worked hard on all afternoon and are rightly proud of. It represents relationships, compromise, dialogue, decision making, flexible thinking, resilience, perseverance and…
Visitors in Reception
When we returned after lunch today imagine our surprise when we noticed some special visitors to our garden! The ducks didn’t hang around long after we went to play and they waddled off down towards Year 2 but we were very excited to see them.

Representing numbers on tens frames
Today we have been working in partners to represent numbers 6, 7 and 8. Either the numeral or numicon was shown to the children showing 6, 7 or 8. They then, in partners, worked out what number was being shown and represented this on a 10s frame.
Home school diaries
We love to share our Home School Diaries with each other. Every Friday we sit in small groups and discuss our weeks home task. We love to listen to one another, ask questions and find out about our learning!
Measuring 2026
The cubes have created lots of excitement in class and today the children were trying to build a tower that was taller than the teacher! Lots of great mathematical language was used and the children had lots of fun.
