The week we have been reading the Christmas Pine. The book tells the story of a Norwegian pine tree chosen to be the annual Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square. The story’s meaning symbolises peace and friendship as the tree is a gift from Norway to the UK. This week the children designed their own Christmas tree and thought about a friend they would gift it to. We shared our designed, talked about how they looked, who they would gift it to and why.
