This half term we are reading The Gingerbread Man and this week we focused on him crossing the river. We placed a gingerbread man in water and watched what happened. The children could see how he floated at first but then began to crumble and break. They also noticed how the water changed colour to yellow. The children then thought of different ways for the Gingerbread Man to cross the river as he can’t get wet. They worked together making paths, bridges and tracks.
