Fruit kebabs were on the food technology menu this week.  The children chopped a variety of fruit and then carefully created their own fruit kebabs.  

The children in nursery enjoyed playing parachute games and relaxing in the hammock under the sunshine this week. They also searched for minibeasts and played imaginatively with one another. 

This week the children prepared their own healthy snack and made fruit kebabs. They practised their chopping skills whilst talking about the different colours, textures, shape and taste of fruits. 

We had a fun packed World Book Day.  This year we had a busy time learning a poem about farm animals to perform in a special assembly this morning.  

The children have had a brilliant first week back after half term and many have been fully engaged in water play this week both indoors and out.  We have a new water wall with a pump that children have been exploring and observing cause and effect.  

This week we talked about how we are all special and unique.  We know that God loves us all.   We thought about those who love us and  care for us and drew pictures of them on white boards.  We were also interested in the idea that our fingerprints are all different so we decided to use an ink pad…

The children have been reading ‘Where is Bear?’ by Jonathan Bentley and learning about prepositional language. We used the story to practise moving different objects to different places - in, on, under, behind, beside and through.

This week the children have made pancakes as we have been learning about Lent and how this is a special time to prepare for Easter. 

Today we have enjoyed creating some valentines crafts for our families.

We had lots of fun on our pyjama day raising money for our school.

The children have had lots of fun coming to nursery in their favourite pyjamas. 

The children have been learning about Chinese New Year and looking at images and clips of the parade in Liverpool. Some children also created Chinese numbers up to 5 using different coloured paints.
