The sun is shining and we’re all out for our final activity! 
 

Great morning taking part in lots of different activities. 
 

We’re all fed and watered ready for the day’s activities! 

Great first day. Just enjoying hot chocolates before bedtime.

In maths today, the children were investigating area and perimeter in compound shapes. We explored different ways to calculate the two measurements whilst also looking at ways to solve missing lengths in shapes. 

This morning in Year 6, after having our ‘Breakfast with a Book’ time, the children took part in Book Speed Dating. 

Each child brought in their favourite book and were given 1 minute to talk about it to another child before seats were swapped and another child, another book was sat in front of…

This half term, Year 6 have been having gymnastics lessons led by Beth Tweddle. Today, we worked on our group routines and then finished the session building pyramids. 

This afternoon, the children started their first lesson in our new art unit. We will be looking at drawing self-portraits but today we focussed on during small details - using images of fruit. 

Today we looked at comparing large numbers whilst playing the game ‘Higher or Lower’. The children read different numbers before deciding if the next number would be higher or lower. 

Year 6 enjoyed their first gymnastics session led by Beth Tweddle this week! We can’t wait to show you our different balances and leaps in a few weeks time! 

The children in Y6 enjoyed their first reading and relaxation afterschool club. They voted for the book Ghostlines by Katya Balen. We finished the session with a calming relaxation. The sound of soft snoring could be heard. 

This half term Year 6 are taking part in Warhammer Club! We’ve managed to learn the rules and this week we’ll spend time painting our minatures!
