Day 1 at CHET and it has certainly been a busy one. After arriving and enjoying our lunches, we headed into the woods to tackle the orienteering course. The children completed a range of obstacles and it was wonderful to see so many of them conquer their fear of heights by taking part on the zip wire.
After a biscuit and drink, the children competed in pairs in a game of curling which were competitive right to the end. We then went to sort our rooms out (which proved difficult for some) before enjoying our evening meal.
Once we finished, we wrapped up and grabbed our torches for the Night Walk around the estate. It was fascinating learning about the history of the grounds. When we arrived back at the centre, the children enjoyed a hot chocolate and biscuit before story time and bed.
